GML’s health and safety policy statement sets out how we manage health and safety within and demonstrates the company's attitude towards health and safety and the steps, arrangements and systems we have in place to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.

GML recognises that effective environmental management is one of our priorities. We are committed to protecting and respecting the environment through all our business activities to ensure we are an environmentally responsible company.

DDA (Disabled Discrimination Act) >

The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) is a Government measure intended to reduce discrimination against disabled people.

GML is committed to ensuring that a high level of customer service is provided for all disabled users and acknowledge a responsibility to comply with disability legislation. All our projects and schemes at the design stage are thoroughly checked to ensure that access and facilities comply with all disability legislation.

CDM (Construction Design and Management Regulations) >

The CDM Regulations encourage everyone to work together to make health and safety an integral part of the design, construction and management of projects. 

GML implements this policy by ensuring your construction project is safe to build, safe to use, safe to maintain and delivers good value. We continuously seek to:
  • Improve planning and management from day one to identify hazards so that they can be eliminated or properly managed
  • Target effort where it can be most effective in terms of health and safety
  • Encourage co-operation and co-ordination throughout each project

GML operates a comprehensive quality system which fosters a culture of continuous improvement. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001were achieved in December 2008.

Our focus on Quality Assurance starts from establishing the best possible understanding of customer requirements through to complete customer satisfaction with the finished scheme or project.
